Comics are an insightful medium allowing the author to inform, support, and document current affairs with a visual flair. Gina Dentada, is a Mother, activist and Punk Rocker. She loves her country and her hijos. Living in a small town call Purra Vida, USA, Gina is a voice in her community for equal rights and liberty for all.

Meet Los Dentadas.
Very outspoken, loud, known for standing out.
Obviously, they are all wearing balaclavas.

Demeanor
Harmless unless the are protecting their family. Then, they will go to great extremes.

Favorite thing to do?
Eat supper together.

They have big teeth. I hear they bite.

Gina Dentada, Mother:
As supporters of Feminism we are against
Government policies that discriminate against women, citing legislation that dictates individual rights. Women’s rights are human rights. Singer in a punk rock band.

Julio, Hijo:
As the next generation, Julio knows that he needs to take care of the planet by picking up after himself. He is very tidy and leaves places cleaner than he found them. He likes to ride his bike, help his Dad with the animals, and learn how to cook with his mom, and play with his baby. Enjoys arranging rock collection.

Bebe, Baby:
Bebe is a happy child. Everyday, Bebe has to find food, shelter, and agua. Bebe loves nos familia. Bebe is growing every day.

Papaya, Father:
As the fact checking rule follower, Papaya knows current events, politics and how to dance. He has a very loud laugh.

Goal
From the metamorphosis of an idea into law, such is the goal of balanced system. The unravelling structure that is the legislative system can only be more transparent if we stay involved. Each citizen must willing to write, call, spread, organize, and yes, fund lobbyist. Because, after all, you can’t eat $$.

We can be heard! Herd?

Look of the Characters
The matching handmade knitted balaclava that the characters wear is directly influenced by the Women’s March “Pussy Hat Project”. The Dentadas just never took them off. The hats grew down over their bodies and fused to their heads. Their teeth grew longer so they could eat easier.

Iconic Reference
Typically made of wool, these masks are worn to disguise and protect them from the elements. Capitalizing on the Mass recognition and association of these mostly handmade objects, the pink knitted balaclavas with ears, are now iconic. The performance art will be remembered historically.

Collective Consciousness
This re association of the word “Pussy” from vulgar meaning into a array of less offensive associations is a shift in perception. By breaking down the subliminal stereotypical associations, sexist bigotry has no where to exist. As 5 billion peaceful protestors came together all over the world, the tables turned.

Political View Points
With big teeth.

Declaration of Independence
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Declaration tells us that we have these rights and it is the duty of our government to protect those rights.

Artistic Expression
Performance art can happen anywhere, in any type of venue or setting and for any length of time. The actions of an individual or a group at a particular place and in a particular time constitute the work. It is my hope that by creating this installation in a community setting, others will be inspired to be the change they would like to see in the world.

Pussy Riot Ideology
The band members of the group argued that only vivid actions brought media attention. Concerns include education, health care, and the decentralization of power, and the group supports regional autonomy and grass roots organizing.

Idiomatic expression
Idioms don’t mean exactly what the words say. Spanglish used in this project is unofficial, so is everything else. No animals were harmed in the making of this film.

What are we? Where are we?
